First of all I would like to apologize for the lack of activity lately. Life has been really crazy. This past week week my wife and I welcomed our first grandchild into the world. My daughter Jenna had her first child Tuesday night. His name is Joshua Robert Martin, 8lbs 3oz and 21-3/4" long. Mom and son are doing great, they came home from the hospital on Thursday.

Day on the water
Had the chance on Friday to call in Fishing. Convinced on of my co-workers Kelly to also call Fishing. We headed down to a local South Park fishing hole. First of all the weather was amazing, clear blue skies, warm temps and a slight breeze. The day started of a little slow in the morning, but heated up mid to late morning. The fly of the day was a little red midge tied on a red hook. The crowds did get a little crazy, for the most part everybody polite and courteous. All in all a great day. Here are a few pics of the day.

UPDATE - "D"-Rib Goldenstone Nymph
As most of you know one of the markers I use to color this nymph was discountied by Sharpie, the color was Marigold. I have great news,I have found a almost perfect match in a marker for coloring my goldenstone nymph. It is a Chartpak Marker, Desert Tan P-146. Here are some pictures of the fly colored with it.

Here is another fly in my fly tying class, Gold Ribbed Hare's Ear Nymph. It is a classic and some solid techniques in teaching fly tying. Enjoy.
